This is what touch has been missing. Tactile feedback. Nextgen mouse interface. Translates straight into AR/VR, too, given that touch is on borrowed time until wearable AR/VR matures.

These little chaps are the first iteration. Now let's imagine what happens when we combine that with downscaled drone tech. Imagine having your own little flying golf ball, just sitting in your pocket. Take it out, lob it in the air in front of you and you have an AR mouse, grab it, move it, push it, tap it... Little fucker just whizzes about, controlling your hud.

The rate drones are moving at, I'ma stick a 5-10 year guesstimate on time to market.

Combined with 3d Printing advances, the main thing that struck me about this is how accessible sculpting would become to people.

There's other similar activities that would benefit but that was the main one. It's quite refreshing to see how each iteration of tech opens up new artistic avenues.
Nine naked Men just walking down the road will cause a heap of trouble for all concerned.

Very cool, thanks for that link! As some-one who has done digital sculpting, mouse < Wacom pen+tablet <<< haptic-feedback-input (which I haven't used, but have seen people using on video. Previously, haptics were driven by a servo'd arm attached to the wall, which provided the force-feedback. This look very interesting.

I'm still waiting for an interface that doesn't cause carpal tunnel syndrome.

The voice ones have promise, as long as everyone SHUTS UP.

Voice is pretty awesome for a lot of applications but it's kinda useless for a lot of others. Eyeball tracking could work but I suspect controlling a brush in photoshop would be a hard skill to learn.

A large trackpad or touchscreen is not so bad, I kind of wish my desktop had touchscreen. Subvocal sensors would be way awesome for typing, but that's a ways off.
