All you can say in this site's defence is that it, rather than reality, occupies the warped minds of some of the planet's most twisted people; gods know what they would get up to if it wasn't here.  In these arguably insane times, any lessening or attenuation of madness is maybe something to be thankful for.

Finally.  I have found the source of a joke that has both puzzled me and made me laugh here for 6+ years.

"Billy, when I say that ethics is our number one priority and safety is also our number one priority, you should take that to mean exactly what I said. Also quality. That's our number one priority as well. Don't look at me that way, you're in the corporate world now and this is how it works."

Ohhhh, if you have the time to watch it, I bet you would love the shit out of that movie!
"I'm guessing it was January 2007, a meeting in Bethesda, we got a bag of bees and just started smashing them on the desk," Charles Wick said. "It was very complicated."

EoC doesn't make creepy.

EoC makes creepy worse.

Seconding Nigel, Donnie Darko's not a bad movie at all.  Go for the Directors Cut, if possible.

Junkenstein

Yes, this is a wise thing to do.

Avoid the sequel. At all costs.
Nine naked Men just walking down the road will cause a heap of trouble for all concerned.

East Coast Hustle

There's a sequel?

Some yahoo yelled at me, saying 'GIVE ME LIBERTY OR GIVE ME DEATH', and I thought, "I'm feeling generous today.  Why not BOTH?"

Pretty sure 90% of it went over my head when I was 12 and sleep-deprived. Might be worth a rewatch.

Cain

To be fair, Richard Kelly had absolutely nothing to do with the sequel, so a better word would be, perhaps "inspired by" or "fanfiction" or "shameless attempt at making money by riding on the original's coat-tails" or something similar.

Junkenstein

You have written "Or" instead of "and".
Nine naked Men just walking down the road will cause a heap of trouble for all concerned.

At sixteen it this was life changing for me, I still love the film but mostly for the soundtrack.

I think I was about 23 (LOLWTFROFLBBQPINEALGLAND) when I first saw it.  I tried watching it once before, but I got drunk or something, I think, and wasn't really paying attention.

Which is a shame, because in terms of atmosphere, it's pretty brilliant.

Bruno

Watched it for the first time about a year ago. Did not disappoint.

It's on Netflix, BTW.
