Well, come to think of it, why not expand a bit?

1.  I just tripped across a solid page of Nigel and Faust talking shit, pretty horrible shit, about me and my motives.  I had by that point already explained my motives in the PL thing, but Faust insisted on "NUDGE NUDGE, NIGEL, IF I WERE YOU I'D BE INSULTED BY ROGER'S HELP", even though I had made a point of saying that I would have acted the same no matter who was on the receiving end of PL's shit.  And Nigel cheerfully agreeing that I certainly hadn't been acting on principle or belief or anything, and ECH outright calling me a "white knight".

2.  Faust is brave enough to do this when there's a victim at hand and a mob behind him.  When talking one on one, he suddenly has no time.  Or he simply views me as an object.  Or both.

3.  PL was going to be banned.  It was vitally important to a few of them that I be made a fucking pariah for that, because God knows, not allowing a racist to scream epithets in your living room is JUST THE SAME AS HITLER.  Once that was dealt with, Faust ginned up a rap, hung it around PL's neck, and the world was once again safe for democracy.
