Though mostly it seems unaligned with Discordians sticking apart, I was wondering if any modern Discordians considered themselves part of the League of Dynamic Discord? More of an idle curiosity than anything else, and it was the radiation instead of the curiosity that killed a certain cat anyway.

I am new here, and this is one of the first threads I have ingested. I must attest to some confusion, a state familiar and not unsettling to me. However clarification, if provided might serve to enlighten me. What is the difference between being a Discordian and being a member of the League of Dynamic Discord? Is it the tenet that Discordians are incined or influenced to stick apart? Thus making any group or agreement of ideas or beliefs in opposition to a Discordian Principle? Is there such thing as a discordian principle, or belief, or ideas on which members hold any agreement? Perhaps ideas on which you tend to agree are dynamic and chaotic, as seems appropriate to a chaotic and dynamic macrocosm. For example might a typical Discordian have a particular belief today, only to believe contrarily tomorrow? Since I have touched on the idea, do you ever find it appropriate to change what you believed yesterday, retroactively, as it were, or would this be considered simply imigination or denial?

Do you mean the true Legion of Dynamic Discord, as evangelized and enshrined in our Sacred, Wholly Holy Principia Discordia, or the "League of Dynamic Discord" that appears to be some sort of a Facebook entity?

I'm not sure. I would have to verify the both.  Tears for fears said "Welcome to your life, there's no turning back" however I am of the opinion if I were to believe I thought such a thing yesterday, and today, finding such a belief uncomfortable or incorrect, I might simply deny the idea I had ever thought it. Is there danger in denial, or would the overbearing new belief confound the initial one such as it had never occurred in the first place? For example, I have experiential confounding which allows me to accept a particular idea or thing or embodiment of dynamic energies (happenings) are as likely to be other than they appear as they are to be in accord with my apprehension of them. Don't I have the right to not believe what I think?

Please forgive the previous reply, it was made host paste and inherently not what I intended to ask. You must understand, I am an immaculate confusion and apt to forget what I thought. Perhaps you might direct me to a thread of interest, to help navigate me as such, toward interesting and useful catalyst.

I would clarify that I mean the Legion of the most sacred Principia, and apologize for the confusion, autocorrect is a strange thing, though I will also admit that I definitely could've simply not written the right thing.

Now that we've got that settled, let's get back to your original inquiry.

By the authority invested in me, by me, as an Abbot of Goddess Eris, my interpretation of our Sacred, Wholly Holy Principia Discordia is that if one claims to be a Discordian, then one is a member of the Legion of Dynamic Discord. (Now, while it is true that a Discordian may not actually know that they are a member of the Legion of Dynamic Discord, their lack of knowledge is beside the point.)

And, as a student of physics, I can state with absolute certainty that an official autopsy on the dead cat would clearly reveal that its actual cause of death was poisoning of the "not radiation" variety.

So, what else do you want to know? And, don't worry, Grasshopper, if you hang around here long enough, you too will be able to dispense such wisdom to new forum members.

Thank you for both clarifications, I've always been more on the biology side of things. Other than that I've got nothing right now. Questions are often more difficult to find than answers.

That's what I'm here for.
