Actually, this is the first post of yours I have read all the way through in a while.  You didn't seem as insane or as annoying.  And you didn't delete it, which is what I was wondering about.  The last time I saw you post something this honest, you deleted it in about 10 minutes.  I hope this moment of sanity is not just an illusion.  I hope you are actually feeling better about yourself and the rest of the world.

Thank you for saying I seem more sane and less annoying.  That is a style of writing I generally reserve for serious things.  About that post I deleted:  I deleted it not because I didn't want to read it.  Wait, that's not true.  I did want to delete it.  It may have been honest, but it wasn't honest because I wrote the post with the intent of honesty.  I wrote that post out of anger, though I have trouble remembering exactly why I was angry, which only suggest further that the anger was pointless.  But I did delete the post because I was ashamed of it, because I wrote it out of anger not with the intent of illumination,

The moment of sanity is not an illusion.  I'm actually quite sane.  I just seem to wonder, and I'm not trying to be rude in any way, about the need for sanity on a Discordian forum.

As to feeling better about myself, I've felt very good about myself for a very long time now.  I have felt good about the rest of the world for a similiar ammount of time.  I attribute it to combining Discordianism with Buddhism and some reasearch into the Parmenides' (Not sure on that spelling) philosophy, combined with my own interest in liminality.  If I didn't feel as well about myself, and if I wasn't such a well adjusted person, despite what some people claim of me, I would have done some very, very destructive things when my website was defaced.  To tell the truth, I almost did them anyway, such was the extent I let my anger take me over.  However, I did not.  However, I view this as a personal failure, not that I did not do them, but that I was going to do them to begin with, out of anger.

just FYI, I don't (and never have) hate you, I just get irritated when you derail threads with nonsense.

not the clever, insightful kind of nonsense (which I feel you are capable of), but the inane nonsense.

so if you really mean what you just said, if you can manage to keep the inanity where it's appropriate (I know, it's heresy to tell a discordian to observe propriety...shoot me), you'll probably find a lot fewer people telling you to STFU.

Thank you.  That does mean something to me.  However, the reason I find it so funny that people complain when I do such a think is similar to the reason you expounded about observing propriety.  Also, I find it funny because it seems to be acceptable for many others to derail threads.  I'm still trying to tease meaning out of the derailings to find exactly how theirs differ from mine to make theirs acceptable, or atleast not annoying enough to incite people to bloodthirstyness.

I ignore you for the most part, because you don't post in Or Kill Me, or 1kbwc's very often.  Otherwise, I might hate you.  But, probably not, seeing as I am a good Jesus, and still love my greatest enemy LMNO.

I used to post in 'Or Kill Me,' however, this pissed people off, too, and the posts in 'Or Kill Me' tended to be long and required thought.

This was addressed to everyone, and I'm responding to those who found it worthwhile to reply.  I'm glad you're not advocating seriousness.  I have personally found that bit at the very beginning of the Principia Discordia, the Greater POOP interview bit on how to take things, very illuminating in recent days.

I'm glad you enjoyed it.  I probably should have spent more time writing it, to clear it up and clarify some of the concepts I was trying to get across.  I really don't enjoy writing like that, though.  I really don't like argueing, either:  Not bickering.  I don't enjoy that, but I actively dislike having to get my mind into the strict, logical form required to pick apart someone's arguement logically and compose a good counterarguement.

I particularly dislike it when it's easy to tear apart someone's arguement so easily.  I prefer to argue with people whom I know I will lose to, like my uncle, Christian.
