No one here(including me) really qualifies enough to say who is,or isn't,a "real discordian".Anyone who tries,is trying to do it out of a false sense of "authority". And unless some one pays my rent,buys my food,gives me sex,conforts me when i am down,or gives me weed,I don't recognize their "authority".I personally haven't considered myself a discordian for years.I once did,but I evovled into an erisian.And I really don't give a fuck who cares or not.Just saying.
There are as many types of discordians as their are discordians.And as discordians we have the right to resist any forms of generalization,catalogation,subjegation,folding,spindling or mutilation.
As a Child of Eris,if anyone wants to claim they are also a Child of Eris,then it is quite all right by me.I will consider them part of my family,and treat them the way they treat me.

I also really like the ring of that phrase, but I find I can't use it. The meaning it was given in one of the recent Books (Metaclysmia, maybe?) just fits too well. I'm not afraid to believe what I'm reading when I agree with it.

since when is discordianism supposed to have meaning.If you wish it to have meaning,then give it meaning.If not,don't.
The P.D. is only the opinion of Thornley and Hill.We are free to take of it what we will.We are also free to create our own wholey holey holy books(Book of Eris,Metaclysmia,The Illuminatus!Trilogy,etc.)
While I believe that their veiw of discordianism(and eris and chaos,etc) is valid,I also believe that mine is just as valid,that st.Hughs just as valid,and the TGRR's is just as valid.Doesn't mean we all have to agree on it.Nor should we.
I do agree with H and T's statement that we are all popes.No one has the right to force their veiws of the Goddess on anyone.The best we can hope for is to present our veiws as intelligently as we can,and let everyone else decide for themselves whether or not they agree.
Let the wiccans desire to make their religion a legitamate,government recognized and sanctioned.I never needed anyone telling me wheter I am worshipping Eris the right way or not.If Goddess has a problem with the way I interact with her,she can let me know herself.And if anyone else has a problem with the way I interact with the Goddess,here's tWo words I have for them....
