Genocide Device

Here is somthing from my LJ i though you guys might get a kick out of

Ah red necks at their finest,Ķ enough American pride to make a comi shit his organs.

Now don,Äôt get me wrong, I defend the right to bare arms. As a species we have created these means by which to destroy our selves and we must take responsibility for that. I also believe that gun control is a cowardice cop out by which we put the people already in control of our lives (the government) in direct control over all the weapons. That just seems like a bad I idea to me, maybe I,Äôm just paranoid. Further more I believe that education will save more lives that just the restriction of access. Quite frankly gun control has failed to prevent access to criminals (which is the reason for its institution) and any one who has ever lost a loved one to ,Äúan accident,Äù could have been prevented with proper education (I,Äôd also like to point out that more people die from car accidents than gun accidents).

Now I honestly believe all of this and will defend it to my grave but standing in the middle of the Saratoga gun show looking around at all wondrous specimens of humanity that I defend on a daily basses makes me wanna join the million moms march. Jesus, no wonder so many brain red necks get in trouble for shooting their hunting partner (like our vice president), I don,Äôt think any of these people should be allowed access to an implement of destruction and that should also include their cars and any thing more complicated that a toaster. Who the fuck is giving gun licenses to these people!?! No wonder the opposition gets so bent out of shape about these law.

Id have to say it,Äôs really hard to fight for one of my personal freedoms standing next to some jack ass having a conversation with his battered wife about how ,ÄúJUST,Äù the war in the middle east is and that it serves those heathen dune coons right. Good God how did I end up on the same side of the political divide with the people who actually believe that El Presadente Bush is a great leader. Really though, I could use some more liberals on this side of the line.

Man, personnally, speaking from Australia, we have very "Draconion" gun laws here... which I actually like.
Now, heres the thing: I have collection of Swords, Knives, and I even have some guns.
But man, I'm so fucking glad that gun laws are tight here, because I for one like to mess with people, and if their IQ's are of that equal to a banana, I fear that may get the wrong idea and try to shoot me, we have just as many cumb cunt "red neck" equivilants here in Australia, we call them "Bogans".

Personally, I'd like to see a world where there is no need for guns, because really really thinkng about it: what on earth do we need guns for?
Self-Defence? Go learn a martial art. Hunting? We have farms that raise animals to be killed, so we don't have to do it ourselves. Military? Well, I'd like to see world without the damn military. Police? There are many alternatives to guns now, they shouldn't have to carry them around.

At the end of the day though, I'm on the side of guns and dope party: Guns for those who want them, no guns for those who dont.
I just feel though that many people who want guns, want them for all the wrong reasons.
Me personally, I have an air rifle, which I've only ever used when I go camping, and at that, I only ever use to shoot non-living targets, except when I see a pest animal here like rabbits and foxes, of which to date, I have still yet to kill, but I wouldn't feel guilty about taking them out if I ever got the chance.

I'm just glad that I can walk out on the streets without having to worry that someones going to shoot me because they don't like the way I look or I manage to turn on their girlfriend more then they ever have.

Do you believe that?
- So the New World Order does not actually exist?
- Oh it exists, and how!
Ask the slaves whose labour built the White House;
Ask the slaves of today tied down to sweatshops and brothels to escape hunger;
Ask most women, second class citizens, in a pervasive rape culture;
Ask the non-human creatures who inhabit the planet:
whales, bears, frogs, tuna, bees, slaughtered farm animals;
Ask the natives of the Americas and Australia on whose land
you live today, on whose graves your factories, farms and neighbourhoods stand;
ask any of them this, ask them if the New World Order is true;
they'll tell you plainly: the New World Order... is you!

guns to me (much like nukes) are the Pandora,Äôs Box of warfare... they came out, no putting them back now.  I,Äôm not against all forms of gun control but if the million moms march had there way Uncky Sam would be the only man holding them,Ķ an idea I do not like on principle,Ķ and I also hat Rosy O,ÄôDonnell and every thing she does.

In the UK, very few people have guns. Only (mostly) farmers tend to have them. For shooting at rampging death squads of mutinous foxes I imagine.

The cops don not carry guns, unless they are guarding somewhere very important, like the prime ministers ass, or suchlike (you catch my meaning).

However, this does mean that its very rare that shootings take place.

In london a little while ago, there was a spate of killings related to gun crime, and that was national news for weeks. The total number of deaths could be counted by the fingers of two hands.

I will perhaps look up some statistics to back up what i say, or totally shoot down my argument. We'll see.

However, in conclusion, I think that the right to bear arms automatically morphs (in some peoples heads) as the right to use arms.

EdIt:

From http://www.homeoffice.gov.uk/rds/pdfs06/hosb0206.pdf

In England and Wales of the UK in 2004/2006 there were in total 10,964 recorded crimes involving firearms, of these 1/5 resulted in some kind of injury and only 1/40 resulted in death.

Im sure you have access to better statistics for the US, as you know where to find them.

Also these figures do not include those killed "legitimately" by our government such as Jean Charles de Menezes, they guy who was shot in the head on the london underground by armed police, who suspected he was a terrorist.

I wasn't implying that guns are only used in warfare.
I'm saying if having a gun is fun, imagine what having lots of guns must be like!

Gasoline is used in warfare.  LOTS of gasoline!  You use it for napalm, logistics, fuel/air bombs, and just plain old driving your tank through Abdullah's house, cause it's in the way.

Ergo, if you use gasoline in any way, you support napalming children and running their parents over with a tank.

Right?

Hey, gasoline has its uses outside of warfare.
Guns have their uses outside of warfare too, like hunting animals, and if you live in the real rough nieghbourhoods, "protecting your family from the bad guys".
But on the whole, wouldn't you think that as a humanity thats still evolving, that were going to have to get over this whole "I love my gun" thing when it gets to a certain point?

And I don't know the statistics, maybe you do Rog, but what is the actual Homicide to accident ratio of gun deaths in america?
I'd imagine there would be lot of people accidently dead because they left a loaded gun lying around "just in case".

Hell, we should probably learn to get over gasoline as well, that's going to run out one day, so lets hope we get some alternatives too, you know, if we really care about this whole "evolution" thing.

BTW, Borat thinks guns make you a REAL man.
