thanks for reverting it, RWHN, but those spambots aren't gonna stop, and this is probably just the first of a wave. wikispambots are dangerous too, because they can 'accidentally' wipe the entire wiki.

i suggest we turn off free-for-all editing again.

we can hand out accounts again for those who want to.

the other option is to install some anti-spambot plugin, they're probably available, but i dunno how to do that.

i checked if i could turn it off myself, by logging in, or editing a config file, but it seems that you need admin rights for that .. that's Cram and RWHN right? could you do this?

Also I agree with having people request accounts.  It's pretty easy to get them set-up and it seems like there's always a sysop around to get them going.  We've put too much work into the place to have it get cluttered up with crap.
