we were discussing people who call veterans "babykillers" and he said something to the effect of "I don't call them babykillers, I just don't give them any spare change either."

"IF your not doing something productive or funny, you get no monies" so if you got the help me my family was killed by ninjas you get spare change. blah blah im some disabled vet who needs your help cause the VA guys are pricks. and if it was on a scale of caring they be meh to me. I think they are doing a shitty job (who isnt) but like I think Old Man Yeti said once if the choice is bush or laiddone, and well at least bush will let well BUSH instead of a sheet.

Ive never really had a conversation with the military like some others blocking tanks from going on the boats but they look like little more then riot police with better equipment, which ironicly almost explains the iraqi war

Then I'd suggest you take the time to do so. Might open up your eyes a little to what's really going on, and help you gain a bit of compassion for the real, actual people inside 'the military', and help you understand why they're out on the street, instead of living a normal life.
