For the record, I stole Cram's idea and set it to Burn's peacock, which I also stole.

I haven't printed any out though, since I don't think I ever got the OK from Burns.

didn't know you needed one ;) ... course it's ok

Just installed Ubuntu on my laptop, wiped the drive so my desktop is sparse.  She goes nicely with the default colour scheme.  Lately this machine is mostly used to play Batman The Animated Series eps for my kiddo.  I'm trying to teach him about Eris.  He's 7, and autistic, so it's not an easy conversation, but he has to learn about god some time.
This play, however, is an affirmation of life—not an attempt to bring order out of chaos nor to suggest improvements in creation, but simply a way of waking up to the very life we're living, which is so excellent once one gets one's mind and one's desires out of its way and lets it act of its own accord. - John Cage

Cramulus

It sounds like he has a lot he could teach you about Eris

also, Net: Can you repost that peacock desktop with the text?

Revenant

I've had the background for a bit. Think I might go for one of the Fallout 3 ones soon.

I already cycled out the Fallout 3 ones.
Fallout 2 is one of my top 3 favorite games, along Planescape: Torment and Dungeon Keeper 2.
I thought this is all there is,
but now I know you are so much more.
I want to upgrade from my simple eight bits,
but will you still love me when I'm sixty-four?

this is my desktops at work; I remote in to my machine from various PCs in the building.  So I can easily tell which ones I'm logged in to, this is the wallpaper I set up on the machines I log in to, locally:

I loves me some longcat, ever since I saw the Incomplete Longcat Retrospectus This *was* my desktop at work:

I don't have permissions to set it normally but I can set it from IE, or Irfanview or what have you.  Meant I had to go looking for it...  I thought it would be easier to find it online but it wasn't so I had to hunt it up in my actual machine.  That's ok though, because hunting online I found this:

...which is now my current wallpaper @ work.

(why yes, work IS boring, now that you mention it)

I'll going to post my home desktop pc wallpaper when I get home, because it is an adorable picture of my kitten, and will make your head asplode with cuteness. And this sort of shit amuses me.

I love that game. So fun...

SLAP THE IMPS! XD
Too bad it's too unstable to internets. Me and my friend tried it multiple times via IP using torrented and original copies of DK2 and it always crashed. Every game. Ah well, the single player and pet dungeon where you can make a prison that holds 500 skeletons is sure fun as hell. DK2 is worth it if just for the single player.

SLAP ANYONE YOU WANT! TO DEATH EVEN! (If I remember that correctly...)

I've never tried to internets it. I was always content with single player mode. I'm not usually one for multiplayer games, unless it's like WoW or racing games or SuperSmash Bros or something.

Yeah you could knockem out or put them on the torture rack and slap them to death to make corpses for vampires :D
I just liked to slap my imps because they regenerate on your own land tiles.
Plus they made awesome noises when you picked them up or slapped them.

Gotta love the torture racks. And succubi. I always liked them.

I had forgotten that they made those funny noises. I need to play again... Maybe I'll steal it when I go home for Thanksgiving.
