I'm still floored by the piece/set I bought from you. Everyone who sees them is impressed with their quality and I've sent two people to your site already.

I already have you in mind for someone's Christmas gift this coming year.

OH and while I was there one of my friends who is an amazing photographer said he wants to take my portrait, and also the gallery owner says he's going to start doing installations next year, and suggested that we move my bedroom in its entirety, with the knives and self-portraits and dildoes and Nixon paintings, into his gallery for a month.

I really don't know if I can do that, but it would be awesome.

no don't do that!  people might mistake you for that blasted tracy emmin woman.  recreate your room from cardboard and masking tape = way cooler :)

Good luck at the showing, Nigel! I'm sure you blew everyone away on opening night!

She did that weaving thing, where she had a bed and slept at the museum and was part of the exhibit. The idea behind making my bedroom the installation is that he thinks the combination of items in my bedroom is "art", and I wouldn't actually be part of the exhibit, I'd just be going there to sleep. Because that's my bed, and I don't have another bed.

I have a line on another Nixon painting... a 3x5' close up of his face.

I currently have my eyes on this:

I must say: I've done a little shopping for Lampwork since you educated me on the process and I haven't found anything as intricate or of obvious good-quality as your work.

Nigel you probably know this stuff inside and out, but for anyone interested PBS has been running shows on lamp work and glass blowing lately, i have found the bits i have seen informative and interesting..

Sir Squid Diddimus

Why is it called "lampwork"?
i don't know anything about it.

Suu

I think it has to do with using a torch (lamp) to make them. The terms goes way back to the middle ages.

Adios

Nigel you make beautiful glass work. If Mrs. Hawk wore jewelery I would definitely buy some.

Mesozoic Mister Nigel

Thanks!

And Suu is spot-on about the name... girl knows her history, D/N/T.  :)

Actually that reminds me, I want to know if you have any spare, basic, mismatched, even not-so-pretty beads laying around I could barter/pay you for. I'm making a Viking Hangarock (apron dress), so to go with it, I need the typical Norse Festoon.

For an idea:

Oh pretty! I just sent all of my extras to the Hope Project, but I should have more soon.
