Faith is being sure of what you hope for, and what you do not see.  That's directly from the Bible.  I Corinthians something-or-other.  I think it's beyond difficult to keep being sure of hope, after a certain amount of time in this world.  You have to have a large amount of blindness and lack of ability to pay attention to what would destroy that hope.

Wow, did I like, say something completely wrong about what you said about faith or what?

Faith is BLIND (or at least impaired, intentionally or not) HOPE, according to a lot of what I personally know and read of it.  Most of that is in hardcore religion with hardcore religious types that don't allow for sketpicism based on experiences.

But do go on with nevermind.

If I took anything the bible said with more than a grain of salt I would be putting myself in the position of eternal damnation to the lake of fire for even being here........

Faith is more than a religious term.  It's a belief in something that can't be guarranteed.  It doesn't always mean religion.  It seems every time that word is used it always goes back to religion.  I didn't mean it that way.

Hence the nevermind.....

Well, YEAH, that's what I meant.  I don't know of any faith outside of religion.  Because anything secular points to lack of faith as being SMART and learning of lessons.

I think we're saying the same thing but not.  But I'm glad you didn't nevermind and explained.  I didn't mean to suppose you meant religion, btw...but the description in the Bible really does point out everything I find WRONG with faith.
