:lulz: I remember my history teacher explaining that to us.

"Yes, Kansas managed to avoid becoming a slave state... thanks to voter fraud." I dunno how technically true that is (surely SOME of the Northerners had achieved legal state residency by the time the vote came around), but it's funny as hell.
