MSNBC's Rachel Maddow has looked into online claims that Bristol Palin, the 19-year-old daughter of Sarah Palin, has launched a political PR and consultancy firm -- and has found the claims to be true.

But that doesn't mean the 19-year-old Bristol -- mother of Tripp, now the focus of a custody battle -- will be running her mother's 2012 presidential campaign, Maddow says.

Researchers on the Rachel Maddow Show have obtained documents showing that the younger Palin filed paperwork in September to launch a company that can provide lobbying, public relations and political consulting services.

Thomas Van Flein, Palin's lawyer, told Maddow that Bristol Palin incorporated herself as part of her work as "ambassador" for the Candie's Foundation, an abstinence-oriented youth group.

Surely Sarah is compassionate and a good woman that takes care of her home, and bears the cross that God gave her (Trig); but also having a promiscous daughter, just comes to show that she has bad blood in her, and makes for a bad leader. Althought Bristol is making an effort with the foundation, so that other girls dont make the same mistake as her, and stay abstinent until marriage (and even do her pregnancy was unexpected, she did the moral action of having it.)

This is what happens when Reality TV culture and Politics merge.  Anyone who manages to get their mug on some screen somewhere automatically becomes qualified to do important stuff.  Meanwhile, nobody notices the more likely scenario that the majority of flesh monkeys who get their mugs on some screen somewhere are actually pretty goddamn awful at doing important stuff and should probably just shut up and stay away from the rest of us.

This.  Meghan McCain was bad enough, and she at least seems to be vaguely intelligent.

Is it just me, or is America becoming more and more an aristocracy by the day?  Media, PR, politics, intelligence, corporations...all seem to be recruiting based more on blood ties than ability.
