they'll tell you plainly: the New World Order... is you!

Oh wow! Thank you for sharing those stories guys!

SPS - Aww horsies!!! But what you said provided a very good perspective.

QuoteWhat else do you like to do?
QuoteWhat is it you like to do?

Alot of things, but generally I am a bit of a mother-goose (caring), music, reading, being creative (god only knows what is involved in that), talking (It is a hobby right? haha), exercise and helping people heal.

I was having thoughts of going into Psychology, but I am not sure if I have alot of patience to help people on an emotional/mental level. Then I thought about getting into Massage, but now I'm mixed between Physio Therapy or Health & Diet.

I was speaking to my sister not long ago and I was massaging her and she suggested I should look into doing Physio ...

So I think I have a general idea where I am looking at atm, but am I just hyping myself up? The idea appeals to me alot though.

Sounds like you seem to have a talent for physical healing.  The whole massaging others and getting complimented for it thing also helped me figure it out.  Kicked around the idea of being a human massage therapist for a while, but decided to go with hrosies instead.

Perhaps that would be a good fit for you?  Or maybe an accupuncture/accupressurist, or a chiropractor, or a physical therapist, or something of that genre.  Also, have you ever thought about Reiki?  That's something that could definitely help boost your resume in those fields.
It's all fun and games, till someone gets herpes.

I read the description on personalitypage.com for ENFJ (http://www.personalitypage.com/ENFJ.html) I fit it pretty close.
Damn this myer-briggs personality test is awesome - I'll try this test again in a few days see if I get the same type or not, but I'm liking so far what it provided with the career list, its certainlly given me a direction to start!

Ohhh! Good ideas there! I'll definantly have a look into that stuff, thanks SPS :) I had thoughts of getting into Alexander Technique, since I think it'd be a good field to touch apon considering it is managing to get into the health plans, and AT freaking rocks. It is just expensive.

I could always go study garbology :(

NP:
No, there's no competition from alternative therapies. Those are for people with cash to pay, and I don't get cash clients, except for chair massage. All my money comes from insurance; alt. therapies don't get paid by them for shit. As it should be.

000:
Queer most often means homosexual, but mostly because homosexuals weren't always called referred to as gay. I have no citation for this but I think people that didn't fit into strict social standards (like those TGRR mentioned about the 50's), especially those regarding gender roles, were just called queer. Or god-cursed sodomites.

I try to imply its actual meaning, strange or odd from a conventional viewpoint. And from the conventional viewpoint where I live I certainly qualify. I like the word as it covers a lot of ground and makes bigots uncomfortable.

Not that I think about this stuff a whole lot. It just comes into play when I step into a strange, sexually repressed conservative Christian*'s home and he thinks: "Hot DOG! This guy is TOTALLY gonna get me off." Which is why I don't do that anymore.

Thanks Alty thats given me some peace of mind!

I think 000 was just confused as to whether you were calling yourself queer or not. But damn! I kinda feel sorry for them haha.

I went to the university today, and did my research on Psychology - I can get into Psychology if I study either a Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science (Gotta figure out what I prefer), but only if I do very well since my UAI (University Admission Index) is only 70 and I can't enter as a Mature Age student, its very damn competitive. And I couldn't help myself, I was having some harmless flirting with the Arts guy at reception. Except I was sweating from running around the place so I was half out of breath to hahahaah, I think I looked a wreck if anything :(

Gonna go again next week and see what the study choices are with Physio Therapy.

Also I'm gonna go visit the medicare centre next monday and see if I can speak to the Physio, since he has treated me (a fair bit) in the past I've got some form of connection to work on there - and I'll visit the Psych there to, he might find it interesting talking to me because he treated my crazed sister, so common grounds there. Time to manipulate.

NA, I have a BA in Psychology and I have pretty mixed feelings about the whole thing.  Without getting too far into it, just remember that if you want a job that's field related, you basically need a PhD, that goes for BA or BS.

The BA would be social sciences positions - Clinical Psychologist (PhD), Guidance Counselor (Master's), School Psychologist (PhD I think), etc.  The BS is research - Behavioral Neuroscience/Neuroendocrinology.  It's a lot more rigorous while honestly a BA in Psych is one of the easiest degrees out there.  I can't speak for BS, but with a BA there aren't very many job opportunities specifically for it.

That said, it's one of the most versatile degrees out there.  With it as a foundation you can pretty much go off into any Master's in social sciences or head up most resumes with it.  So if you want to keep your options open after graduation it's not bad.

NP: What university(ies) were you looking at? (if you don't mind me asking)

I think I've seen some universities that allow for a BSc majoring in psych, but it's been a couple of years since I looked at course handbooks (and I wasn't really looking at psych anyway)
It's not trolling, it's just satire.

Whatever you do. Don't go into Graphic Design. That was the biggest mistake of my life. The pay is low, the demands of totally inartistic clients are way too high, and if you can FIND a job that isn't looking for 7-10 years of experience or high school students that they can pay minimum wage, then you're really lucky.

The only thing that I excelled at was working under pressure. Give me a huge project due tomorrow and it will be magnificent, I just want more than $300 a week to do it, ESPECIALLY IF THE BILLBOARD IS GOING TO BE UP AND DOWN THE EAST COAST YOU MOTHER FUCKERS.  :argh!: :argh!: :argh!:

Hmm thanks for that advice! Yeah completing a BS or a BA allows me to major in 29 other fields apparently, so its a good start!

But, in order to become a registered psychologist in NSW must complete the Honours Degree (Meaning distinction or higher) or 4th year equivalent in psychology, where as if I graduate with a bachelor's degree I can get into things like - advertising, careers counselor, correctional service, oh&s, HR, market research, marketing, PR (well you get the jist)

I'm going to write out my thoughts continiously over the week in a book and see how I feel about it all, the problem is I might just want to study Psychology on the basis that I find it fascinating - but as a career I may just get too annoyed dealing with mental problems.

If I want to study Physiotherapy, I either have to study a Bachelor of Health Science or I can get straight into Physiotherapy (fingers crossed)
