TESTEMONAIL:  Right and Discordianism allows room for personal interpretation. You have your theories and I have mine. Unlike Christianity, Discordia allows room for ideas and opinions, and mine is well-informed and based on ancient philosophy and theology, so, my neo-Discordian friends, open your minds to my interpretation and I will open my mind to yours. That's fair enough, right? Just claiming to be discordian should mean that your mind is open and willing to learn and share ideas. You guys are fucking bashing me and your laughing at my theologies and my friends know what's up and are laughing at you and honestly this is my last shot at putting a label on my belief structure and your making me lose all hope of ever finding a ideological group I can relate to because you don't even know what the fuck I'm talking about and everything I have said is based on the founding principals of real Discordianism. Expand your mind.

`Wait, the economy, seriously?

We never recovered during Reagan, we just got used to it.

As compared to Jimmy Carter's economy, you don't think RR's was an improvement?

Jimmy Carter actually had the best job creation numbers since we started tracking those figures.

But don't let that stand in the way of a good myth.

Inflation and interest rates did really really well under Carter as I recall.  A job doesn't do you much good if you can't afford to buy or borrow anything.
I hate everyone.

Yeah, well, someone had to pay the bar tab for Vietnam.

And are you suggesting that inflation was so bad as to make a job worthless?

No.  I didn't mean to imply that but if you can't afford it...
I hate everyone.

Can't afford to live with that job and borrowing at 20something % was a good alternative, at the time.

Yeah, so you don't borrow until things get better.  After all, we'd just spend 10 years shoveling money down a hole.

Was Carter responsible for every citizen's financial decisions?

high inflation isn't a good or a bad thing so long as everything inflates including salaries.  it's good for people in debt, bad for people with savings.  High interest rates are pretty vital in times of high inflation, and that also brings down the bite of them, borrowing at 20% annually isn't that bad if the annual inflation rate is 10%

I would like a Bowser Revolution to occur, but I'm pretty sure not even mad economists would dare think it.

What the heck is a Bowser Revolution?  I gave up searching with all the Nintendo crap that showed up.

Wait, are we talking about Bowser from the Mario Bros. games or Bowser from Sha-Na-Na?
Formerly something else...

Triple Zero

I think they're cross-Bowser compatible.

See first you get the Bowser-wars, then you get the Bowser-revolution.

I thought a Bowser Revolution was when you burn everything to the ground with your noxious, fiery breath.  :?
