If you think you need them. Personally, I like to feel the flesh and bones and wind-pipes with my bare hands. If you do bring a weapon, make sure it's easily concealable. A nice, weighty set of brass knuckles would do fine for such close-range melee.

I should have plenty of time.  It's a half hour or so to get there, there's a family thing at 1pm (which should be over by then) and I'd like to be in Boston by 1am for when EoCGF gets out of work.
