Everyone who calls themselves "wolf-something" or "something-wolf" almost inevitably turns out to be an irredeemable shitneck.

Hey, Jim, I'm not doing the "Surprise Me Eris". Here's why.

It's kind of like, I'm on the ride, I can enjoy or not, but it ain't stopping for me to get off.

THIS.

Another thing I've noticed is when you do embrace the chaos, the weird, the until now unbelievable shit that really does happen, you draw others who are lost and drifting in their own weird chaos to you like moths to a flame.  At that point, you have a choice.  You can burn them, or nurture their inner weird, allowing them to explore it, perfect it.

AND THAT.

You've made a good point. After all, even if we assume that Eris is the functioning mechanism of SME (rather than our headjunk), it is the willing (and unwilling, and ignorant) merehumanscum acting as Her hands. If we don't generate the high weirdness, it will need to be generated by accident -- and I'm not sure that's preferable.

I am not "full of hate" as if I were some passive container. I am a generator of hate, and my rage is a renewable resource, like sunshine.

I'm not doing this either. I don't want anymore surprises from Eris right now.

Doc, this is an awesome piece. I joined this forum so that I might remember how to be weird again. Fucking amazing work.

Thanks.  I'm currently working on proving the inverse of LMNO's Axiom (the imposition of order creates a corresponding and greater amount of disorder), by applying weirdness to everything, to see if order gets generated.

Also, like I said, I should probably be dead now, so it would be a damn disgrace if I didn't act like today was my last day on the planet.

LMNO owns imposition of order leads to escalation of chaos?
You're a special case, Babylon.  You are offensive even when you don't post.

Merely by being alive, you make everyone just a little more miserable

YES.  DO NOT QUESTION IT.  COUGH UP THE ROYALTIES, PLS.

I don't know how I missed this...but yes, I embrace the weird, even if it annoys me, and I am a student if not an out and out soldier for chaos.  Because it's come and found me in ways I can't even describe, though I've shared quite a bit here, so y'all know how rough the road's been.  Nosirreee, ain't no smooth sailing for ol' Jenne.

Anyway, no need to invite Eris to do her best, she's been riding me like her personal hobby horse for a good, long while now, and hasn't tired of me yet.  I'm trying my damnedest, though, to turn that bitch around and enjoy the ride...

I seriously suggest that quotes from this thread get included on the "Suprise Me, Eris" website that the person who started that thread is building, just to counterpoint the homogeneous Christaddict message. Also to drive some of LMNO's points in.

I also humbly submit "Avoid too much 'Surprise Me, Eris' and not enough 'Thank you, Mistress'."
