I was a fucking moron for using the blacks-into-thugs example in the OP. I indeed fell into the same trap I was describing with the analogy, automatically generalizing blacks as "thugs and gangstas". Wow, I totally had my head up my ass, I really did. And, honestly, I doubt that I do fucking get it. Maybe somewhat, but definitely not completely.
