She made comments that could be seen (and not unreasonably so) as racist. While not all racists are Nazis, there's a pretty strong correlation (at least in the US). The modern Klan all seem to have adopted the Nazi concept. At any rate they're not shy about their Nazi symbolism.

I guess this just gets tiring after awhile.  Especially when it is entirely avoidable.  She's only been posting in this thread.  It would seem to me, if she was really that annoying to certain individuals, they could easily just NOT click on this thread.  As far as her first post, yeah, she did the typical broad stroak brushing, I guess I just didn't read it being THAT egregious.  She did qualify the statement about Discordians being fat by saying the ones she's seen.  And again, I personally think it is going overboard to equate what she posted abot EOT and Nigel's avatars with racism.  Especially in light of the posts she's made since.  I'm inclined to take her at her word.

It's a simple equation. She keeps being a dick, I'll keep poking at her. I even SAID I was baiting her, earlier in this thread. I gave her fair warning, and I told her I was doing it simply because I knew she wouldn't be able to resist responding, even though I was telling her up front that I was only posting to bait her.

And, IMO, this attitude is a part of the problem.  I don't think you want to make nice, no matter what she says.  I think you like the drama and aggravation and want it to continue.  You seem to be implying as much in this and previous posts.  It just feels like after a certain point these threads feed off this kind of negativity and, pardon the social worker talk, but it just doesn't seem healthy.

It is, though, I think that the ball is now in PurpleEris' court to make amends, come out of this thread and into others and start engaging other people. Her apology post seemed sincere to me too, but it's on her now to back it up. Which is fine. Nigel even said there was a possibility that she could end up friends with her, but again, at this point its her move.

Why did she single out Nigel and EOT as "ugly" when those were the ONLY TWO avatars in the thread with black people in them?

There were plenty of people piling on but oddly, only two got singled out for an insult based on appearance.

And they just HAPPENED to have black people in their avatars.

That kind of shit is not coincidental.

EOT may have changed his avatar since then, but I clearly remember his avatar being Aunt Jemimah at the time.
