Well, I expect to have more of a lead on the next turn.  By then, the inactive dracula will have either bitten someone or not, and from that we can infer at least some givens.

How?

If the vampire doesn't bite again, we can guess that it's someone who hasn't been around, right?

I guess it's possible that not biting would be a good false lead, though.

If I was dracula, I wouldn't bite every night, unless the rules forced me to.

It's true, this game doesn't exactly translate 100% to online workability.

When looked at as a logic puzzle, you just don't get enough information to make an informed decision...Yet you must make a decision anyway, or lose for sure.

Oh, so it's a horribly, tragically, realistic analogy to real life, then.

Srsly...what's the point of voting before someone DIES?

Somewhat.  The world actually gives people plenty of data.  People just can't be bothered with it...Witness the many people who took out adjustable rate/interest only mortgages.  All the information was right there on the contract, but they chose to overlook it in favor of a "Tomorrow never comes and I want this house/car/etc NOW."

Likewise, when the refinery tower goes nuts, all the available data to diagnose the problem is right there, but Mike prefers to pronounce what's wrong based solely on the fact that "he's an engineer and you aren't".  He is wrong about 90% of the time.  Pissing him off by refusing to do what he says is not only gratifying, but it saves a LOT of money, too.  I was told yesterday that my abberant behavior is only tolerated due to my gleeful refusals of this nature ("and don't push it").

I like to be proactive.

Because this is our best chance.  If we kill the vampire NOW, we win.  If we wait, there will be TWO vampires.

Jenne

...what if we become Fang-Bangers?

Or is that not allowed in this version?

...so basically you spend the game considering what comments people make, and then judge based on those if they're the perp?

Is there a way to INDUCE our so-far silent friends to say something so we can vote...intelligently?

Because at this point it's sorta hard to go on anything other than wankery.

Or is that the point?

Meh.

Yeah. I think it lost enthusiasm when Remmy was working.

DOK DID IT! HE DID IT ALLLLL!!!

Oddly enough, this is the most successful game we've played, because on day three, everyone playing is still alive.
