I mixed the Aphex Tweak with the 220 bpm track, and added a keyboard sweep.

Please note that somewhere in the Aphex edit, it appears that we have wandered slightly from the tempo.

when i was editing it, i used part pitch shift, part resampling to get those effects.

I've also been thinking of starting a new track, with a few basic rules.

I'm open to suggestions for the rules end. I'd like to keep them pretty minimal.
the best one i've considered so far is  along the lines of participants using only
instruments that they aren't especially skilled with. that would take guitar away
from myself, for example, but would leave piano, drums, my mouth, tin cans, etc...

thoughts? (The tentative title for this track would be "Illusion of Order")

done? don't have to be. Hand of Eris, IMO, is just starting to take shape.
I think i might turn it into a rap...

I would like to be prepared for the next one, though. rules suck for many reasons,
but what I like about them is they force one into creative avenues they might otherwise not take.
and agreeing on even the most arbitrary rules can be somewhat time consuming.

but yes, I agree with keeping it one track at a time.

I kinda like that rule. It was tricky for me to figure out what I would be doing for the mandolin, so I'll probably keep at that for this for the time being. It does kinda help because its easy to fall back on familiar patterns with something you're good at.

Listening to this right now, good call on the keyboard sweeps and mixing the 110 and 220!

Not sure if there's anything further for me to contribute to Hand of Eris for the time being, unless either of you have any suggestions.

lyrics are in progress. i have no chorus, and need to draft it a few times, maybe.
(maybe someone else could write the chorus, not knowing what I'm writing???)

it seems, as more time passes, that I have more to do in my life, and less time to do it with.
