PD.com forums: a disorganized echo-chamber full of concordian, Greyfaced radical left-wing nutjobs who honestly believe they can take down imaginary Nazis by distributing flyers. They are highly-suspicious of all newcomers and hostile to almost everyone, including themselves. The only thing they don't take seriously is Discordianism.

Yeah.  This album was in constant rotation in my CD player for most of 96-97.

"Stagger Lee" fucking rocks.  Check out the scream at the end.

Mesozoic Mister Nigel

"I'm guessing it was January 2007, a meeting in Bethesda, we got a bag of bees and just started smashing them on the desk," Charles Wick said. "It was very complicated."

The Wizard

Quote from: Doktor BlightI like how he's described but am a little unclear on his background. Is he actually some sort of immortal, or is the Vlad/Jack the Ripper/Boston Strangler stuff metaphorical?

He's the personification of murder, or the fear of being murdered.

Quote from: LMNO, PhDSounds like this guy:

Ha! This was what I was listening to while I wrote this. The character was partially inspired by the song  Red Right Hand.

Quote from: NigelI like this. Not just a serial killer, but the personified archetype of murderer. And us, become so jaded by murder that we treat it as a commodity.

I like the character of the Red-Handed Man. I'd like to see this expanded.

I also like the writing enough that I'll offer the suggestion to lose the semicolon in the third sentence of the first paragraph. It's a device that can be useful, but in this case stands out as a device. It should simply read "His eyes were always hidden by the shadows that clung to him like a rain soaked coat."

It's a more powerful sentence that way IMO.

Thanks, I'm thinking of doing more with this guy, maybe use him in some of my fiction or maybe use him to make commentary on violence.  And as for the semicolon, I wasn't sure whether I should have put it there. Going to remove shortly.

Thanks everyone for the comments.

Eater of Clowns

Very good, Semaj.  Good character, good observation.

EoC doesn't make creepy.

EoC makes creepy worse.

I think I might. Not sure in what direction. At the very least, he's going to be stored in my memory for later.

And thanks.  :D
