I AM A DISCORDIAN ASSBASSADOR.

Because I say so.

Now, you do realize that the "man" in this film represents the ultimate end of all druggie discordians, right?

Mine will be much more violent.

Like I said, that guy couldn't fight.

Lies

Wow, the guy may have acted a bit harshly, but in no way do I think it warrented the actions of the policeman. Seriousy, it's halarious when the policeman decides to attack,
"PEACE FOR MAN KIND"

                :hippie:
*TASER*
"You forced me to do that"

Yup, going to jail for assault, now that's halarious.

Yeah, I know, he was acting like a complete idiot, there was probably a much better way to handle that situation, like, I dunno, talking to the officer with a smile on his face explaining to him he was on his peace walk or something, instead of causing a bunch of complaints and acting like a madman in front of the officer, so he really brought it on himself, but it just goes to show how on edge policemen can be.
- So the New World Order does not actually exist?
- Oh it exists, and how!
Ask the slaves whose labour built the White House;
Ask the slaves of today tied down to sweatshops and brothels to escape hunger;
Ask most women, second class citizens, in a pervasive rape culture;
Ask the non-human creatures who inhabit the planet:
whales, bears, frogs, tuna, bees, slaughtered farm animals;
Ask the natives of the Americas and Australia on whose land
you live today, on whose graves your factories, farms and neighbourhoods stand;
ask any of them this, ask them if the New World Order is true;
they'll tell you plainly: the New World Order... is you!

You don't know the fucking half of it.

YOU try dealing with meth heads every day, and then run into that freak, and see what YOU do.

Here it comes...

GEE, MISTER THE POLICEMANS!  WHY DIDN'T YOU BE NICE TO THE RAVING LUNATIC WHO PROBABLY HAS A HEAD FULL OF CRANK AND A SHARPENED SCREWDRIVER IN HIS BACK POCKET?  YOU SO MEAN!

I thought you were going to be a bit harsher.

Lys, my father and many of my friends were cops. I have worked various types of security jobs, and i've had psychotic episodes.

You can't reason with these types. You can't just say "OK, move along buddy." You subdue.

It was a long shift, and I'm tired.  Besides, I pointlessly hassled a few dumbasses, so I met my asshat quota.

Gee, all I'm saying is, it's an interesting reflection of the world we live in. I don't blame the cop for acting like he did, nor do I blame the high hippy. The situation could have been handled much better on BOTH sides, we're just living in an age of fear where we all have to lock up our doors and not go out at night time and don't make friends with the neighbours because they could be deranged lunatics, so those kinds of actions aren't surprising.

This is why the world needs to change.

I'm not on either side of the fence here, things I find funny are that the cop brought him down when he was shouting "peace for man kind", that he's probably being charged for assault even though he never threw a punch, he was just acting like a complete idiot.
And he called the guy goerge bush and the man felt offended. That's a good one.

End of the day, hippy = a lot to learn when handling the "authorities" and policeman = thinks hes doing the right thing.

Policeman is paid to subdue the hippy

Policeman's personal agenda is not to get stabbed with aids needle or otherwise molested.

Policeman bootcamp understand this and train in effective methods of subduing fuckheads.

IMO the policeman in this vid went by the numbers - that's how to safely diffuse an idiot.

Thats why I say the policeman thinks he's doing the right thing... it's not "normal" to deal with weirdo who isn't violent, you get a non-violent weirdo in front of you acting like all the violent ones and *bang* into subdue mode.

He was gesticulating wildly, shouting and then he threw his cigarette at the cop's feet. That was aggressive body language. Srsly - I've hospitalised people for less. Plus the cop was asked to be there by the restaurant who claimed he was hassling people.

For the record, the cop didn't even do much.
Thrown down and cuffed? That's nothing.

That cop was being saintly.
