I suspect this violence will eventually fizzle out in a week or two, but this has been a long time in the coming.  Depending on how Dem activists, law enforcement agencies etc react, as well as how many actual crazies are out there, things could get a fair bit worse.

The FBI is currently investigating threats made against at least 10 members of Congress, The Associated Press reported. Windows were shattered at four Democratic offices in New York, Arizona and Kansas. In Virginia, someone cut a propane line at a house believed to be owned by Rep. Tom Perriello (it was actually his brother's residence). Angry and obscenity-laden comments have flooded into the offices of lawmakers since the passage of the health care reform bill. Some callers have even made death threats against the lawmakers and their children. While House Republican leader John Boehner said the "violence and threats are unacceptable," Sarah Palin's Twitter page encouraged supporters: "Don't retreat, instead - reload!"

This tyrannical, monstrous, fascist-inspired government of Barack HUSSEIN Obama has gone too far. Instead of passing a law via Presidential signing orders, like the Constitution says he should, he used a controversial and possibly anti-freedom parliamentary move, called "voting the bill into law". And we all know what that means. Namely, Andrew Sullivan and Michael Moore are going to head up a death panel and execute Trig Palin live on MSNBC, while homosexual liberals masturbate to it and smoke government mandated pot.

Furthermore, the health care "reform" is a thing of horror, an alien thing. It's a doomsday machine. It's signalling to the aliens and poisoning your thoughts. It's the death of love and the end of history and the shriveling of hope and the tears of little children. It is a moral imperative that it be resisted through acts of civil disobedience, like beating up long haired hippies and throwing bricks through windows.

One day, you lieberals will thank the brave teabaggers for their valiant opposition to the Maoist government of Barry Soetoro

And one person wasn't sure if I was being serious or not, and the resident Birther quoted me approvingly.

Poe's Law holds for political debates too. It is almost impossible to parody the Teabaggers at this point.

Also, imagine what will happen if the Democrats go through with immigration reform like they are hinting at. You've got the standard paranoid conspiracy theories with a fuck-ton of racism and xenophobia dumped on top. This place would be a powderkeg just in time for summer.

Didn't the health care bill omit funding for abortions at the last minute? 

It's even funnier than that.

Stupak was all pissed at the language in the bill regarding how the insurance exchange would handle abortion coverage, and wanted his own language, instead.

At the end of the day, Pelosi strongarmed him into accepting an "executive order" in which the president... repeated the original language in the bill.

So, the whole Stupak thing was a dud, from the get-go.
