I understand that the account that sent the porn links or whatever, was Mah Fnord, but I distinctly remember that I was confused at the time because people were talking about "Mah Fnord" and he had been "Brian Fnord" for a while by then. I commented on it, and someone said "He sent it from his Mah Fnord account".

To change your name on FB, you have to apply for a name change and wait for admin to do it.

The person I was talking to was Mah Fnord ntil after the spamming. Weird.

It might take fb a long time to approve a name change, but a person could make new account. The only way fb could prevent that would be to keep out all the people with common names. There could have been more than one Mah Fnord.

Yes, that's what I was saying. Now, though, I doubt there was ever a dupe account at all. I think it was a glorious convergence of stupidity (on Yatto's part), paranoia, and genuine misunderstanding.

I know that the account that is now Brian Fnord used to be Mah Fnord. I have a conversation going back to February with him, and the address for his facebook page is http://www.facebook.com/mah.fnord.

I kind of doubt that we'll ever find out what actually happened, but I do think this provides a clue:

Figured out that stella liked op safekids and I made a comment in support with the page tagged... and I guess her kid clicked the link when a few trolls flooded the page... still have no idea what's with the emails broken ai got.

Stella, you said you didn't actually get anything, so there is layer upon layer of misunderstanding here. I am wondering if Liam clicked the link as trolls were attacking OpSafeKids, and in his pot-induced paranoid haze, misinterpreted it as a direct attack against himself? Or some similar scenario?

I'll second that sentiment!

I know Yatto can be really annoying and has certainly shown bad judgment. But I think the evidence is pointing to him not having porn-bombed anyone, and frankly, having met him, I do not sense a malicious bone in his body. The guy is 100% the fool, definitely kind of crazy, and oddly gullible/naive... but not mean or malicious. I would like to go out on a limb and advocate for allowing him to come back to the board so he can properly apologize to Dok for saying he was going to use his work after Dok revoked permission.

Obviously, since that was the reason he was banned, and it was a legitimate reason, I say this with all respect for Dok's wishes, and of course it was ECH's decision to ban so he would be the one to make that decision, ultimately. But I feel for the poor guy, because he fucked up, and then right after the fuckup, while tempers were still high, he seems to have fallen by sheer bloody fucked-up luck into a marathon comedy of errors that led to him being strung up like a Moosemas turkey over something that not only did HE not do, but it even appears now that NOBODY did it.

Now, if anyone else steps forward and says that they received porn PMs from him, then I will have to reconsider advocating for him. But if not, man...  this is the weirdo that brought us the pention meme.
