You guys would've loved this guy I saw on Jon Stewart a few weeks ago. The guy was talking about the people that were supposed to go over and over see things in Iraq, such as the new government and reconstruction.

Here are some question that were NOT asked of the candidates:
"Do you have experience, in postwar reconstruction?"
"Do you have a basic understanding of the various sects?"

They instead asked questions like these:
"Did you vote for Dubbya?"
"What's your stance on Rowe v. Wade?"

They wanted loyal Conservative Christians over there, not specialist.

I imagine most of you know the story of the gay soldier kicked out. He was one of the few soldiers that spoke fluent Arabic (which they are running seriously low on), and they kicked him out because Jesus doesn't approve of his gayness.

Jesus is fucking up science and our glorious war.

And there ain't a thing done about it.

Fucking damned shame it takes a while to undo all this mess once it's done, too.
