Today, for a brief second, I thought of a life without Roger. It was much like my current life, except that this forum was a bit nicer.

I'm #3  I'm actually only 3 years old, but being the reincarnation of Baby Jesus, I'm older than the human race, and three times as stinky.

I'm 3 days older than dirt.

But prettier.

Why do you hope to god it isn't?

Just curious.

I still want to see Discordianism grow and wisen up, if all the members are 40-55 it could mean that it's nearing its end rather than just beginning.  The CoN has had more than a millennium to gather strength and trick the masses. We've had what forty years? maybe only fifteen where Discordianism has gone through serious growth and reformation/reinterpretation.

I'm not saying the older members are useless, as a matter of fact, it's the opposite. They know the most and hopefully have the most experience with RL application, which is what we really need. They don't have to lead(we don't do that), but they still gotta teach the young if not in political/world philosophy, than on life in general.
But you need the young in the streets if you want something to catch and stay rather than be labeled as an underground movement lasting from 1965 to 2008.

WTF are you talking about?  Grow and wisen up?  You do realize of course that we here are but one subset of Discordianism right?  I think you need to meet more Discordianisms before you play with these generalities.  There are Discordians that are hanging out at coffee shops that never come here or anywhere else on the net.  There are Discordians that have their own hang out on the net.  I think you are basing your assertions on very limited knowledge and experience.  I think it is best, perhaps, for you to experience more of life, let alone Discordianism, before you start suggesting what Discordianism needs to do.  Seriously.

I think Discordianism needs to STFU.

I understand there's discordians all over. Different kinds, different ages, and hopefully in different cultures. But how old is discordianism? There were many older ideas and philosophies that have discordian characteristics(Nietzsche), but discordianism and its off-shoots have only been around for forty years.

Come to think of it you, LMNO, and a few others are probably the first generation of Discordians. Hell you could even consider me a first generation discordian. Other Religions and Politics (not saying were either) have had more than two thousand years to spray humanity with shit like consumerism, control of thought, and oppressing authority. You think were at the top of our game only after forty years? We know everything we need too? Were done evolving, done changing? ALREADY?

This is what I meant by saying "growing and wising up." I'm not saying were stupid or childish, were just young, you cannot deny that.
