fond memories?

of what?

waiting hours to download porn that you can download in SECONDS now?

or maybe getting gakked, hard, by any and all gamers who WEREN'T on a dial up connection trying to game proper?

or maybe when it got a little windy and rainy, and the line noise caused your modem to drop carrier every 10 minutes, forcing you to dial back in, and hope that your ISP's lines weren't all full.

...

nope
can't say I remember anything positive about dial up

Well, it reminds me of a time I stayed home at my parents, do nothing and don't pay shit on my win 98 :D

The Good Reverend Roger

"French Art Rock" on RFD?

Jesus Christ.  I'm gonna stop calling myself a Discordian, out of abject shame.

temple of mumbo jumbo already denounced all yuos a few months back, got the memo around here somewhere

PS why 128 wouldnt fm quality (64?) be enough

Look, asshole:  Your 'incomprehensible' act, your word-salad, your pinealism...It BORES ME.  I've been incomprehensible for so long, I TEACH IT TO MBA CANDIDATES.  So if you simply MUST talk about your pineal gland or happy children dancing in the wildflowers, go talk to Roger, because he digs that kind of shit

Mourning Star

Enough for what?

Good sound quality is IMPORTANT(TM)

There was that modem noise at the end of Information Society's album "Don't Be Afraid" that if played at the right bitrate into a phoneline with the modem set to listen, it would show a hidden message, with a URL to a website to begin a sort of scavenger hunt to find the different pieces of an audio file which combined into the bonus track for the CD...

a VERY neat idea/use of the technology

but that's IT!

the only good thing about it...ever.

The Good Reverend Roger

Have we expanded the collection of French experimental music?

I mean, if we're serious about this.

I've cut it down slightly. But there is no end to it. You can hardly go on the internets without having free french experimental music being shoved in your face.

Shut the fuck up, Enki.  If I'm not good enough to speak to on chat, I'm not good enough to speak to hear, right?  Just fuck off.  Nothing you have to say is worth listening to...all you fucking do is wreck jokes.
