There was that modem noise at the end of Information Society's album "Don't Be Afraid" that if played at the right bitrate into a phoneline with the modem set to listen, it would show a hidden message, with a URL to a website to begin a sort of scavenger hunt to find the different pieces of an audio file which combined into the bonus track for the CD...


a VERY neat idea/use of the technology

I've cut it down slightly. But there is no end to it. You can hardly go on the internets without having free french experimental music being shoved in your face.
