Lys is basically a good guy. The sexual conquest stuff, though, is starting to define him, which I think is unfortunate because it really just doesn't reflect well on a person to make themselves seen that way. This total toolbox of a thread set off people who have been irritated by it for a while, is what I see.

I agree that there are a lot of people jumping on the bandwagon who really don't have enough history here, or with him, to base it on, and perhaps are just joining in the ever-popular game of dogpile.

Agreed. I really haven't been here to long and when the original Lysergic drama started couple of months ago I unfortunately dogpiled on him early on.

Only marginally related, but tonight I was watching an episode of Criminal Minds where the serial killer was a loser who went to Pick Up Artist classes to learn how to pull chicks - then force them to clean the floor before murdering them (his mother was a cleaner, so, yeah...).

I just thought I'd mention that.

Lys, like everyone here myself included, has said some stuff I didn't find all that amusing.  While Lys gets stuck on the sex topic, so do a lot of us get stuck quite frequently on one subject that annoys the hell out of other people here.  But it's all a glass house thing.  Who amongst us really has the right to throw the first rock? 

I try to avoid this kind of crap when it's "real" members and not the idiots who come to out discordian the discordians. 

Lys has never said anything to me that I found insulting.  He has contributed some really great stuff and he deserves a bit better than having his ass slammed constantly.

It used to be if you fucked up royally in a thread, being an ass or saying really stupid shit, it got left alone when the thread died.  Shit keeps getting drug all over the damn board these days and it's fucking up peoples stuff that deserves better.

I don't know. maybe I need to take a longer break than I did.  FWIW I wish we'd ease off each other and just start kicking annoying noobs into bleeding oozing lumps instead.
