What are you guys talking about? I thought the acting was great.

If they were trying to act like very uncomfortable, rather desperate actors who know what a shitty production they're in but are biting the bullet just long enough to get a goddamn paycheck and get away from the three other people they've been forced onto a set with, then yes; the acting was great.

I still think Linux or BSD is the way to go.  And if my hardware is cheaper, but I get better performance and reliability, while it still looks nicer, fuck it.  Plus it's free.  Oh and no viruses.  I do occasionally tell people they should give it a try, but I usually tell them to try it out on a partition.  Some people seem stuck in this "if it is free it can't be good" state of mind, but fuck them too.  Those who try see.

See what I mean?

No! Everybody should switch to linux, there's simply no arguing about it. It's free, you can install it on everything including your TV and washing machine. You will submit, damnit.

It makes the awkwardness, laughing at unfunny moments, and inexplicable smirking all make sense!

the things is, though, that Macs really aren't very good.

They look pretty, but things go plummeting downhill as soon as you try to actually use one for anything other than making home movies or something similarly insipid.

I think the file handling and image previewing software Macs are bundled bundled with is utter crap. Other than that, I like my Mac a lot more than I like my PC; I find it a lot more stable, as well as faster.

But then, all I ever do is arty bullshit and run Quickbooks, so I guess I don't really use my Mac for anything.

I use windows for the programs, Linux for administration and Mac on a laptop.....

I love Linux and wish it had the gaming flexibility as windows, I love windows and wish i had the stability and security as linux,

i love macs but wish i didn't have to cough up tons of $$ when in order to keep the piece of shit up to date.

I got a Mini because it was $600 and I could just use the keyboard and mouse I already had. I haven't thought about upgrading yet; no idea how that'll go. But then I also have never upgraded my Windows PC other than replacing the cooling fan.
