Law abiding citizen is cool if you can overlook how far fetched it gets toward the end.

Also there's a good R5 of 2012 out (minus some subtitles) what I just watched. No one kills millions of dumb humans quite as awesomely as Emmerich :fap:

Halftime report:

The corn factor is off the charts and it starts really fucking slow. The sparkly sound effects for the sparkly skin nearly brought me to tears. Edward is fucking creepy and how girls can like this guy is beyond me. If anything, Alice and Jasper crack me up, and I want the Cullen house.

If I were Bella, I would have single handedly snapped the necks of every annoying classmate she has, especially when they take her sarcasm literally or as serious jokes.

Alright, I'm going to choke down the rest of this. So far I haven't had the overwhelming urge to hurt people, but I know the really corny shit is coming up.

You owe me a monitor and coffee.   :lulz:

Yeah, I saw the 2012 one, but, well, disaster films are feeling a little played out to me, at the moment.  Plus I should probably clear some space from my HD before putting another film on the list.

And my suspension of disbelief is pretty strong, so hopefully LAC should be good.  I usually need a second sitting before my critical functions start kicking in much.  Unless it's really stupid, and even then it has to be stupid all the way through.

Bella is meant to be boring.  She is a blank canvas anti-Mary Sue for every teenage girl to imagine herself to be.

Does it go all MST3K at any point, like the first did after it was revealed Edward was a sparkle-vamp?

I just watched the first one, I haven't seen New Moon yet.

Well...I'm feeling the need to watch it again. Because I didn't hate it, so something is wrong.

I mean, it didn't make me shit hate like I thought it would. I actually watched it and had little or no reaction at some points. Like I said, I now feel total indifference to Twilight because I realize if I was 16 I'd probably LOVE it, but I'm 27, so I missed the window, but at the same time, I now have no reason to be so against it because it's so trendy to be so, and I didn't feel the movie overly sucked.

However, I will say that it is not a positive example of how relationships are. And I really REALLY disagree with young tween girls really liking it. After talking about it yesterday at work, another server who I worked with came forward and said that her 15 year old daughter loved it, but she had never watched it. So we advised her to watch it.

I don't intend on reading the books anytime soon, though. So I have nothing to compare it to. But from what I understand it wasn't bad.

But yeah...I still feel weird.

It's left me with this hollow feeling of indifference I can't figure out what to do with.  :| I just hope I didn't catch the disease.

I seriously didn't think it was that good!!!! I swear!!

Fortunately, I have not the urge to go to Hot Topic and purchase merch...I don't think it's fandom, I think it's a form of masochism or something.

I'M SO CONFUSED.

Sounds to me like you are wanting to replace the indifference you feel.  Like if watching it again will give you something to grab hold of and either be for or against.

I think you could watch it a million times and your immediate reaction would be the appropriate response.

It really was horribly vapid and insignificant, at least to me.  It took things that ought to be exciting and significant and deflated them and made them trivial and meaningless.  I think that is part of why tweeners connect to Twilight,  and why there is such rabid hate amongst some.

I watched the first and couldn't imagine myself being bored enough to watch the second.
