All you can say in this site's defence is that it, rather than reality, occupies the warped minds of some of the planet's most twisted people; gods know what they would get up to if it wasn't here.  In these arguably insane times, any lessening or attenuation of madness is maybe something to be thankful for.

Well, there was this one interview Greta Van Susteren did in Palins house and there was a Moose head and fur lying around.  I'm pretty sure once the cameras off there was some furry lesbian action between Greta and Sarah.

I... i dont wanna think about it
Through me the way to the city of woe, Through me the way to everlasting pain, Through me the way among the lost.
Justice moved my maker on high.
Divine power made me, Wisdom supreme, and Primal love.
Before me nothing was but things eternal, and eternal I endure.
Abandon all hope, you who enter here.

Of course, being rich furries, they use real fur for their suits.

Yeah, that's why Palin doesn't like Caribou Barbie.  Not because it's offensive, but because it is too accurate.
Cynicism is a blank check for failure.

Too late.  I'm pretty sure Todd gets involved too.

At first I was confused by this but now I feel relieved. So now the Christians are finally admitting that they want us to be a theocracy. 'cause I was still over here thinking that they were trying to hide it.

No no no.  They've never HIDDEN this.  At ALL.  It's been top priority as long as I've known the Religious Reich (having been formerly a member, especially).

It's just that...well, it wasn't NEWSWORTHY before.  So now, everyone's LEAKING teh dumb...and so many are SHOCKED!  SHOCKED! to find that Christians are fundamentalist!  IN POLITICS!  The HORA! THE HORA!

No, this has ever been the case.  They started in churches waaaay back in the 80's (shit, fuck that, in the 1920's)...and it's been rollin' ever since.

I'm waiting, waiting, WAITING for the damned pendulum to go the other way...please go back...go back pendulummm... *hangs head in cynical shame*

With insane militant religious groups like those Hutaree jackasses on the rise, I think the pendulum will be swinging back the other way.

Incidentally, Tina Fey was interviewed on the BBC. Turns out that there's a 30 Rock porn movie. The woman who plays 'Tina' is the same woman who played Sarah in 'Nailin' Palin'.

OOOOOh, this totally explains the whole "hunting wolves from helicopter" dealie. You just have to edit the deer costume onto Sarah and the others with the rifles.

Sigh. I guess you're right about the newsworthy thing but what's shocked really shocked me is the timing. With all the talk about Iran and their brutal theocracy, I would've thought that these people would tone down their wild cries for the bringing the prayer back in schools (etc) but if anything it seems that they're actually in some sort of sick race with those dudes. One week I hear about how the separation between church and state was invented by liberals and then the very next week, some cleric in Iran is claiming that cleavage causes earthquakes. So now I know that within a month, Pat Robertson is going to say that the Constitution should be abolished so that Jesus (through him) can rule America directly.

Fuck it.  I'm going to get ordained as a Catholic priest and start robbing banks and mugging people.  I mean, apparently, you can be excused any crime if you're in with the Big V.

Lets try it on an even simpler level:

1) There is a minimum energy/mass things can have, everything can be measured in a multiple of this minimum.

2) Objects at this size, or close to it, don't have an exact position or velocity, so they look like waves in most experiments.

3) If you try to measure the location, they act more like particles, just to fuck with you, but the velocity gets more uncertain, also just to fuck with you.

Conclusion: God hates physicists.

The call for "WHERE'S THE FUCKING MODERATES ALREADYYYYYYYYYYYY???!!!???oneone11" is becoming louder...there really IS a deep, deep-rooted dissention amongst the GOP ranks.  And for all that the Teabaggers might be made up of a good portion of the right-of-center's...I believe its foundation is still the "WE LOST BAAAWWWWW"ing side of the GOP.  The ones that perpetuate the racism that's ok, like the racism that was ok during post-9/11 (remember that? when we went all "YEE-HAW, REPUBLICAN JESUS WILL KICK YER ASSSSSS!"?  Flag-waving was de rigueur, and in fact, we RAN OUT of CAR FLAGS (motherfuckin' car flags, that used to be for the "fan" in "fanatic" sports fucks who had to celebrate their victories) in September of oh-one in my little vet-by-marine-base town of O-side, Cali).

SO YEAH.  The GOP wants its party back...because a lot of them ARE actually very fucking SMART, SAVVY intellect types.  The "new face" of the GOP intelligentsia (no, NOT the oxymoron you'd think) is NOT a red-state de facto sect...nuh uh.  It's college-bred.  It's not really well-laid.  It's 22-26 years old and Bible-skeptic-yet-willing-to-go-to-service-with-the-'rents, it's white-bread or white-filling (Oreo, banana, etc.--sorry, racially epithetical, I agree, but I mean this with all the love in my heart, these are "gentrified" 2d-3rd generationals) in profile and just as angry, but about the lack of cohesiveness to the ideals they read about and worshipped in undergrad.

And I think largely male.

If their social/celebrity profiling can be believed (blogosphere, book deals GALORE!, Bill Maher and Jon Stewart spots on TeeVee, etc.).

Shit, I dated these fucks in an earlier incarnation.

Anyway, I do believe there's a nice little re-faction of these that have glowing eyes for the original platforms of Reaganites...and are verily confused on why the Teabaggers have to keep hitting the racist schtick and not go for the gold of the "poor me, I'm the bewildered, bedraggled masses" to win more centrist approval...(they blame the liberal media for weeding those more attractive folks out of the cam shots and instead highlighting the less seemly of the group with missing teefs, big hulking tummies and lots of welfare babes stuck to their meaty gams).

They are aware of the hypocrisy, and yet still feel as if their gal Palin is "persecuted." *guffaw*  They are trust-fund (wannabes).  They are deluded enough to think the GOP can be changed from the inside-out.  And they think that a "softer side" of the GOP will win the hearts and minds of the centrist movements (huh? ARE there centrist movements? oh yeah, duh, those are the folks that voted in Obama...huh, go figure).

I say good luck with that one.  I think stirring the Teabaggin' red voters is a good thing...the crazies seem to come out the more you do that.  I hope Teabaggers don't stay quiet.  The fuck who flew his plane into the IRS building is probably the tip of the iceberg.  I don't wish HARM on anyone, but I think this battaille royale for the throne is FAR from over for the "BAAWWWW WE DIDN'T WIN!" group.  Far, far, from over.

I just wish we WERE hearing the last cry of the turd of racism and religulosity in these people like Alan Grayson was saying on Bill Maher's show this past Friday...I think instead Fnordie's right...the pendulum's swinging further to the right than it was with Bush.  Because say what you want about him, but he wasn't a racist.  His immigration policy was FAR more liberal than any other GOPer.

yes, but, think of the pr0n possibilities, the $$-potential!

The media did a real good job of covering up 9/12. Here an Atlanta, at least one Muslim guy was killed and a bunch of Sikhs and Hindus got attacked as well. And not one word of it ever reached the nightly news.

What happened on 9/12 is why Oprah flew my ass (and my husband's) to Chicago and put us up at the Omni.

That's a great story, in and of itself.
