I had another weird dream last night.  Only bitch who got married in december got injured somehow, and was close to death.  So she asked me to kill her, hide her body, and make it look like an accident/natural causes.  The whole time she instructed me how to kill her and not be caught.

it's not that at all, it just, well, don't we have a thread for stuff like this already? Or is there something special about this that really merits an entirely new thread rather than putting it in the open Bar thread or a PM?

Well if it bothers you so much there are two solutions:

1-you ignore the thread

2-get rid of it.


It's not like I posted this in OKM, it's freaking Apple Talk, which is where this stuff is supposed to go.

there's another solution, which is for people to try to confine their blathering about stuff that 99% of the rest of the forum is unlikely to care about or be interested in to the threads that already exist for that purpose rather than to spag up the place with a brand-new thread every time some bit of mental diarrhea makes it from their brain to their keyboard. Or, you know, if it's directed solely at one person and likely to be of interest only to one person, you could always send that person a private message, which is the very reason for the existence of that function. Not to pick on you, but did you honestly post this thread with the intention of starting a board-wide discussion on the topic, or was it just another way of saying "hey, look at me!"?

And for the record, the impression that some people have that "Apple talk" is synonymous with "just blather on about anything even if it's not interesting to anyone else at all and assume that it's your god-given right to do so" is an erroneous one.

First off, I see your point and I'm not disagreeing.  I deal with exceptions on a daily basis so I look for them outside of work as well. 

I see how she might feel she's already addressed the problem by labeling her post SUUU!  If you don't want to read what SPS has to say to Suu, don't read it.  I understand that she could have pm'ed Suu if she just wanted to share it with her but she might have wanted to passively share it with other people on the board.  In which case, she put her fluff in the right place.  Also, is it more complicated to pm on a cellphone?  Does Suu reply to her phone (call or text) as quickly as she replies to posts on PD?  She might have seen that Suu was on and knew she'd being doing X activity, X activity= phone not on.  It could be a convenience/expediency thing.

I'm not trying to be picky but you could edit the description for Apple Talk on the home page. 

As of right now it reads:  General discussion board. Please keep fluff here, as it buggers up the rest of the board, and makes BEARFORCE1 hate you.  -I definitely see how there could be some confusion.

Or just rename "Remember: Nobody is actually worthy to post on PD.  Make your time." so that it is abundantly clear that that is the place all things of a personal nature(or whatever) should go.

does it make things worse when I say that I agree with ECH and that this is indeed the sort of thing Open Bar is for, and starting a whole new thread is a lot like just saying "hey look at me" and make me too histrionic?
