I'm very vocally supporting Holland, if only because many obnoxious kids here are Spanish (as is one of the members of staff - he's pretty cool, but a huge footy fan, so winding him up is mandatory.  He's going to be wound up even further over the next few weeks as his sister comes to work with us and our almost entirely male team).

Your Vegas Theory might be right, if that last yellow was anything, but you have to admit the Dutch aren't playing that well.

Holland have warmed up as the game has gone along.  They've also collected an impressive number of yellow cards, so make of that what you will.  At the start though, the Spanish were doing their usual trick of short, sharp passes, allowing them to keep possesion and deny the Dutch any chances of even mounting an attack on goal.  As the game has progressed, this has been broken up, partly due to bad Spanish and Dutch play.

Both teams are playing like hell.

They're both being malicious, but the Dutch are totally targeted by the refs.


However, that WAS just a hell of a save.
