As an aside, I have no problems with someone burning the Koran per se...but to do it in favour of another book of religious bigotry, fantastic racism, sexism and generally insanity would suggest a slight problem with cognitive dissonance (compare re: Iraqi unionists burning the Koran in the 60s in favour of secularism).

Last year a Christian church had a book burning where they tossed some bibles on the fire since they weren't the correct version.

In regards to burning our own books, I think it's brilliant, and reminds me of the story of the zen monk, who studied zen for many years, and upon reaching his enlightenment, went and burned all his books...
