Meanwhile I haven't had a drop of rain in exactly a month. Who's in charge of these hurricane things anyways? I need the next one to take the same path as Rita and dump about 3 inches here.

Getting my bag ready to ride it out at my friend's house after work still. Since it's hitting as a 2 and not a 3 or 4, I'm a bit more relaxed.

Rain is coming down now and we have localized street flooding. Fucking Providence.

That's the thing though. Those flash storms that hit real quick always flood streets (well at least they do that here) then once they slow a little the drainage can catch up and then it just leaves some water on the street. Like and inch or two.
You can still drive through it.
