Reason America failed: Too much Freedom.

In particular, freedom to be dumb. Being dumb and uninformed is motivated. Dumb people, just as fat people, culture their pride. Everyone thinks that being dumb, not listening to reason and acting upon it is a virtue.

In short - you could have spared yourself 200 years to find outcome of this experiment if you just went to a Kindergarten, let the teacher go away for few hours and record what happens.
Madness, everyone having fun at first, then fights for the toys, then some people usurping the best toys and places, then after a while everyone getting bored, and then a few more hours of crying since there is no one to feed them or guide them to toilet. This is the the ideal of Freedom that USA is.

to elaborate further, you know how most polls show that a majority of Americans are actually reasonably progressive-thinking people who don't support scummy racist xenophobic policies, but then when we have elections, the rabid scumbags turn out in droves and the mostly progressive-thinking people can't be bothered to go vote, so we end up with politicians who really aren't representative of who we are as a nation? If those mostly progressive-thinking people took as much pride in being reasonable and informed and politically active as the teabaggers and their forerunners take in being rabidly ignorant, you might not have the dilemma of not wanting to take pride in your country. It's a self-fulfilling prophecy.

It's not about being a rabid nationalist, it's about saying "hey, assholes, this is MY country too and I'm not going to give up on it and disconnect myself thereby allowing you loudmouthed backwards assclowns to dominate the agenda to the further detriment of everyone."

Youve got it all wrong. Our benevolent leaders would never abuse their power. If they were the kind of people that would go mad with power we would never give them power in the first place. Our glorious leaders have no reasons to lie to you, they are on your side. You can trust them completely.
