Rollingstone has some thing on their website where they have the 12, or maybe it was 12, most unlikely covers of that song.  It also has covers done by Justin Timberlake (that one's for you LMNO), Bruno Mars, Take That (wtf?), Paul Anka (lounge version), etc. 

Anyhoo, in the blurb for Miley's version, they suggest that Kurt Cobain and Billy Ray Cyrus were actually friends.  Seems kind of a bit of an odd-couple match up.  But given who he married, can't rule it out.

All I know is her voice is annoying.  And it's worse when they add auto-tune to it.  And it's inescapable when you have a 7 year old daughter who insists on listening to Radio Disney when we're in the car.

Fuck no.  Miley is a gazillion times worse than Barney.  She's a spoiled brat with no talent and a grotesque overbite.  Barney is just a walking couch that is obviously on drugs.  He's harmless.

That's why Barney is no big deal.  Radio Disney doesn't play him nor does the other younger kid station.  He isn't even on PBS anymore.  Just the Sprout channel which my daughter has outgrown and the boy has no interest in TV.  But, I'm sure that will change in the next couple of years.
