It's just that, with the exception of Hoops, everyone who saw that thread had also posted in the thread in which he stated that a Subgenius' thinking/opinion has no merit whatsoever.  And so the new post was called the best thing ever, referred to blogs, etc.

Then he flat out stated, "FFS, it's only Roger", which seemed to explain everything for everyone.

But, as I say, I'm not viewing you as an enemy.  I'm just quite upset over the fact that several people I really liked and admired seem to despise me.

In my position, how would you feel, given the above?

I think you may be leaping to conclusions, Roger.

I don't even think Vex despises you, and I can't fathom how his Subgenius comment was meant to be taken seriously.

I quoted in his thread the part of the other thread that explains - seriously - that Subgenius opinions are of no value, because presumably we spend $30 for a packet of posters, flyers, and pamphlets.

In his thread, of course.  Taken by itself, it was funny, I'll admit.  But given that he wrote it right after stating that a Subgenius's opinion has precisely no value, the context is just a little different.

Well interpret that thread as you will... To me it was a funnay "Discordian vs SubGenius" thing that you tseem to have taken personally and Vex then poked at you for taking personally.

From my perspective "the people lining up" seemed to think the OP was funnay on its own... not "for proving that [TGRR] not an actual Discordian". Maybe you misinterpreted their view, even if you correctly interpreted Vex's backhanded slap? When I posted a lol, it was on the OP and entirely related to the OP and not you... I think most of the other posters would probably say the same thing.

Vex, I'm sorry I started the thread about you that wound up in Apple Talk.  I also regret the initial argument, regardless of whose fault it was, if it was anyone's fault at all.

That being said, I have to go.  I can't see the point in staying, at least for the moment, because FFS, it's only Roger, and this is piling up bandwidth and - as ECH has pointed out - it's killing the lulz.
