Are you sure?  You can just edit out the text (we don't delete threads).  I wouldn't if I were you.

Yeah, got a local copy that I might do some work on and I've never liked the empty posts that deleting that way makes it. Unless it's a hassle for you and in that case it's no problem for me

Well, it's a matter of policy agreed upon by the admins.  I'd approach ECH and ask him.  He'll probably stuff it in the trash bin if you're really serious about it.
