My name is sepia and I've been hanging around here for a while but unless you browse Or kill me you'll have no idea who I am because I fraternize poorly on the internet/work too much/is lazy and I usually only post other places than ORKILLME when I need something. Except this time it seems like I'm going to quit my dayjob earlier than planned due to unforeseen consequences and some of you oldies might remember my age-old 2012 project which is all going down in america and since I've never been, I thought I should. ehm, yeah, anyhow

Hi there Suu-princess, it's still a little bit up in the air but at the rate things are going it's going to be from early/mid april to around the end of it, I'm thinking about two weeks would be nice to spend in that there big apple.

This was more of a "who live in ny and would be up for a beer when I get over there", since it might still fall through and my job will become better and not shittier but I don't really see that happening.

I know Cramulus lives the closest, but I'm only a 3 hour bus ride away and it's not too uncommon for me to shoot down to Manhattan for a day of "errands".  Let me know what it's looking like and I'll see what I can do. I have classes during the week, which can make it difficult, but if anything I'm sure there's plenty of people here who can get you around the City and at least give you pointers.

I recommend the Apple Talk threads about the memorial day meet up. It turns out a bunch of PD cats will be in the region in late may. Triple Zero and his GF will be in NY from like May 20-27, and then we're driving up to Providence together to meet up with Suu and company. Then we're renting a haunted bed and breakfast in Connecticut for memorial day weekend. If you can bend your schedule towards that, you should totally try to make it for memorial day! We will do grilling and beers and hanging out all day being spags.

I will never understand why Providence is so big with European visitors...It's just...well it's Providence. I guess you gotta see it to believe it.

Went on a Lovecraft walk not that long ago.  I haven't been to his grave, but saw the inspiration for the Shunned House, the home descirbed as the home of Charles Dexter Ward, some other places.  Was a lot of fun.

His house is gone. Long gone. There is no museum or much of any homage to him around the city except for a plaque at Brown University and his grave...IF you can find it.

The Hay Library has, I'm told, an extensive collection of his stuff, I need to check that out someday.

The house from Angell street is no longer on Angell street, they moved it.  It still exists, not sure if I could find it again.  (We saw that, too.)

I think they moved it over to Bowen or something, I can't tell you. There's no marker or anything. The Phillips family HATES the fans, and they still have a strong old-money presence on the Eastside. As long as they're still around, there won't be much for him.
