WTF?

He banned himself. I now have access to take a copy of the DB and will be doing a structure backup and such on saturday probably. I wont get around to actually doing anything else with the site until then so if anything seems amiss it is probably because of that.
I'm going to go cook some dinner now but if anyone has any questions I'll try to respond as quickly as I can.
On sat I intend to:
  • backup the site
  • Sift through it and transfer it to our hosting
  • Redirect dns
  • Put the site back online
  • make hawk and Jenne Co - admins.

If there are others have any ideas on how to breath life back into the grill it is the perfect testing ground for projects that mightn't suit pd.com.
The grill has history, not a very pretty history but its intertwined with this place, and I'd hate to see it disappear because of that.

Works for me, thanks.

Not me. I was kind of irritated (not at Bella, just in general) that it didn't go away for good the first time we trolled it into the ground back when it was the Mirror.

    Also...

I hope nobody thinks that all of this means that PD won't still occasionally troll EB&G. I won't speka for anyone else, but it's in my blood. :lulz:

    169% expected.  :lulz:

    Trolling is good.

I think trolling would produce more productive conversation than is to be had there now :/

ECH trolling the place is as much part of EB&G as the name.

You gotta take the Psychosexychef with the good...

Well it would certainly bring more life back into the place.

It would be nice if we could put some life back into POEE as well.  Always thought it was too bad that such a great site got so few visitors.

Aside from when PD.COM went down and it became our life-raft.

I've said for a while now that EB&G needs to be trimmed down to the bare bones.  A bunch of empty topics just doesn't make sense to me.

So how would you define its purpose then? Holiday resort for overstrung PDers, PD lite, something else?

    THIS!!

I just think it is more offputting for a new member to wander around a bunch of empty forums.  Keep it simple until the need for 20 different forums is created by the number of members...

    If that makes sense.

    LMNO

    Question:

If the new EB&G will be admined and modded by PD-ers, how will it be different than PD?

Which is a broad way of asking, will there be new guidelines for posting?

    If that makes sense.

Good suggestion and it is part of the plan. Also going to move forum business to the bottom of the pile.
