If the new EB&G will be admined and modded by PD-ers, how will it be different than PD?

Which is a broad way of asking, will there be new guidelines for posting? 

The posting guidelines will be the same as PD. I prefer lack of censorship. It is not our intention to "create a new flavor of Discordia", hell that's been done here several times.

It's important to realize that it will take some time and work to get the active membership back up. I think, though we will try to give a tiny nudge in one direction that the board will develop it's own persona based on the type of posters we attract.

My intention is to be in the background instead of the foreground, and allow people freedom to post what they desire.

No excuse intended, I promise. One thing we intend to do is attempt to attract the SubGenii, while also maintaining our existing base. If this happens it may eventually lead to a board dynamic between PD and the Bar.

I know the past there has been spotty, but all we ask is just give us a chance to improve it. It is important to realize that the user base, the people, are what makes a board successful or not.

Yeah, making concrete plans kind of spooks me because things have a way of taking on a life of their own. If we try to make solid plans step by step then we could ruin any potential dynamic that may naturally occur.

I will answer questions as best as I can, but once in a while the honest answer will be " I dunno."

Hawk (aka Charley ) asked me yesterday for my ideas.  Frankly, my dears, I don't have any.  I'm better at managing organic movement than starting revolutions, but I also don't want what CU started to be continued (forced movement that bottlenecks anything resembling so-called progress).

I think suggestions are welcome.  And whatever else you have to say as well.  I may not have concrete ideas on what EB&G will BECOME, but I sure as hell know what I DON'T want to see it devolve into.

Hawk's main point is so correct:  it's the membership that shapes the board, in the end.
