Ok ok.  I was going to continue trolling, but after three attempts to post interrupted by new responses, I just read what Iptuous wrote and decided to respond to that instead, as that level of sincerity I can respect.

I agree with you wholeheartedly.  The idea of starting a new account also occurred to me, weeks ago in a different thread with a similar problem.  The problem with that idea is threefold:
First, as you can see ITT when my roommate registered an account, I'd get called out on it anyway, ruining the point.
Second, I am having a constant internal debate as to whether it's worth the effort, considering the sides of themselves people are showing here.
Third, and perhaps my biggest issue with it, is that it would feel rather dishonest to present a 'false face' as it were.

The problem is as Ippie described.  Some people would judge a post on it's merit, individually, but all too many of you see the 'trix' moniker and knee-jerk.  Then pick out a specific, often unrelated, part of the post, and use that as fodder for the cannon.

ETA:  Not that that's what is happening NOW, at this point, but that is what began the derailment of the thread.

If you were at a party, and you acted like an ass and people got a bad impression of who you are, it's going to take a while to change their minds.

So you have to expect that some people will still be hatin' when you post somewhere else.  So you need to be mindful of that, and conciously not be an ass for a long enough time for people's opinion of you to change.

If you are incapable of not being an ass, well... you may just want to leave the party.
