I liked how they introduced her, like "her mother died in an insane asylum thinking she was Queen Victoria" and my thought was, I like where I think this is going. I was not disappointed.

I love how for some reason we're all supposed to remember Trix's past posts. I don't even remember my own posts beyond yesterday, if that. And I'm WAY more interesting than whoever the hell that noob is.

I mentioned myself as a noob in the post, and chose TGRR as a target, knowing from lurking that so many noobs do so it's become a meme.  Not just lurking, I was one of those noobs who started with a more serious and grayfaced attack upon TGRR, not knowing he was dead.  If you care to remember, I was expertly beaten senseless for my trouble.

I really figured you guys would see the joke, appreciate the meme, note the delivery, hopefully chuckle at the silliness of it, and move on.  And just in case the intent was a bit subtle, I included the TL;DR to make the intent more clear.

I just felt the legendary TGRR could use a formal welcome back.  I rather hoped he'd play along.

If you don't find it funny.  Well, I tried.  I did warn you of my lack of wit, did I not?

YES IT IS TOTALLY OUR NOT GETTING THE JOKE, AND NOT AT ALL THE COMPLETE FAILURE OF THE DELIVERY.

PRO TIP: IT GENERALLY REQUIRES A CERTAIN AMOUNT OF PRE-EXISTING FAMILIARITY TO MAKE IT SOCIALLY ACCEPTABLE TO BUST SOMEONE'S BALLS WITHOUT OFFENSE.

IF THIS SEEMS PAINFULLY OBVIOUS, CONGRATULATIONS, YOU DON'T HAVE AUTISM.

I admitted the failure of delivery.  Read that last part again please.

As for familiarity, well, I thought I had that by now.  Ok ok, perhaps I misjudged the amount required.  I spend too many hours every day reading this board, for months, so I can see how I probably feel more familiar with you lot than you lot feel with me.  My bad.

Ugh, you guys always get me to break character and get all defensive.

I really gotta stop falling for that.

Like I said, you gotta put a quarter in the slot.

<Inserts a quarter>

Uh

Do you have friends IRL AT ALL???

Nope.  You're really not getting the message here.

Should I type slower, or something?  I mean, I can spell this out, if you really want me to.

Or Payne can do it, if he's inclined.

I mean, I have nothing going on at the moment.  I can explain everything, if you like.

But maybe you better ask Payne.

Okay, we're at "stage 3" of a Trix thread.

See?  I'm getting famous already!

Besides, that question doesn't require a serious answer.  The two of you likely spend more time reading and writing here than I do, DO YOU HAVE FRIENDS!?  Two to four hours daily, with some random vacations when RL gets too busy for leisure reading, for however long since I've discovered the place.  Yeah, I must be a friendless loser.

Besides, I really do have a stuffed penguin.  His name is Tux.

Oh I got it the first time.  I just like to play.

Nope.  I'm a washed-up old zombie, remember?  We don't play.  Mostly, we stand around groaning.

Funniest bit is that I DID rant (a bit) today, but it got buried by Trix's whine-fest about how I'm not ranting.

:lulz:

It got buried by my whole one thread!?  Wow, this thread must take up a LOT of space in the thread list!

Look, I apologize if my OP offended you, I had hoped the TL;DR made it clear that the intention was a bit of lulz and a hello.  I can put some words together on paper (or, you know, on forum) but making them funny is something I'm still working on.  If it hurts you to read my tripe while I'm finding my style or whatever, feel free to pass my threads right over in the future.  Or, you know, turn them into this; that works too.
