The correct reaction would have been to make police reports on the death threats and then DO IT HARDER.

Given the fact the cartoonist is a chick and the death threats were internet based, the cops probably told told that 1.) She asked for it and 2.) Ignore it and it will go away.

Yeah...I can understand the wanting to back off, but on the other hand, 'death threats' are a sign you're doing something right.....mostly.

Yeah, except that she only got  those death threats and that attention because she was white, and what I got from her resignation was that that was what disheartened her the most.

Then of course there is the fact that for most bloggers, it isn't their career, and the stress of receiving massive negativity and death threats can significantly detract from the energy they need to put into the other important things in their lives, such as work, school, family, etc.

Yanno, when looking for a spirit animal, when you feel like a loner, a wolf is just not a good bet.

It indicates, to me anyway, dysfunction. A lone wolf is never a happy wolf and will probably not last long. Wolves hunt large animals in packs, they live for the pack. A much more appropriate animal is a raven. This is just common sense.
