To that last question:

I have a renewed sense of hope. I don't know what it is, but there seems to be more people willing to do this, to literally take a stand for what's right. I can't remember her name, but the one who wrote that letter RE: banksters.

Just these two women alone give my cynical heart a glimmer of hope.
I think it may just be a matter of time. Eventually these old, stupid bastards will die, and yes their children will continue their great work, but not all of them. And maybe less and less with each generation.

So there's a light at the end of the tunnel. I think. It just happens to be the sun, which, you know....

Remember being a good god fearing christian Republican requires lots of work. Nobody has time for that shit. Eventually the GOP will go away or reform.

I find it a very bad sign that our politicians are reduced to running out the clock in order to try to stop bad legislation. I'm glad she did it, but wow.... it really says something horrible about the political situation in this country :(

The state of Texas is turning down billions of federal dollars that would have paid for health care coverage for 1.5 million poor Texans.
By refusing to participate in Medicaid expansion, which is part of the Affordable Care Act, the state will leave on the table an estimated $100 billion over the next decade.

Texas' share of the cost would have been just 7 percent of the total, but for Gov. Rick Perry and the state's Republican-dominated Legislature, even $1 in the name of "Obamacare" was a dollar too much.

...Yeah, I can just feel the LOVE.

Do you think the Dems can muster up the strength for another filibuster?

I honestly don't know...Sometimes it's better for my mental balance and innards not to pay attention to certain things.
The morons in my statehouse are one of the things that I can't fix and that really piss me off.

...Basically, whenever they're in session, I'm always braced for bad news.  This special session just gives them more time to fuck with things.

Yep. It's like Obamacare never happened here.

Stock up on Chinese patent medicine and don't bother with the ER, they'll try to send you someplace that requires insurance.

If that Mother Jones article is to believed, the next one is a 30 day session and Wendy would have to stand there and talk for a couple of weeks. So no.

Funny, I just ordered some meds from the lovely island nation of Vanuatu. I can say that Indian pharma copies have served me well.

I couldn't even WALK last fall. I stayed on the couch for over a month eating Yunnan Baiyao until it luckily went away.

I mean, why get x-rayed? Either nothing's broken and they send you home, or something's broken and they tell you to go someplace you can't get into.

Texas also turned down cash for the West explosion.

Then they took it and got butthurt when they didn't get more on request.

Rick Perry.

Unsurprised.

Dismal.

Just another fucktard Texan with vagina envy and hostility from the constant frustration of repressing his craving for big hard dicks.
