I have no idea, but I'm going there next week as part of my job.

So... anybody know anything about the joint?

I hear Tel Aviv has a great nightlife, if you like that sort of thing.  Clubs, restaurants, performing arts...it's the place to go in Israel for a good time of that nature.

Lay low and hope to get out alive.

Is Verbatim still on the board? He is German-Israeli and would probably be the best person to ask.

Verbatim was the one!  I only asked because I vaguely remembered someone mentioning relatives in that neck of the woods.  I was hoping to bring something more back other than "pictures from the back of a taxi in <insert name of city here>".  My collection of those is growing, but they're kind of depressing.

At least in Budapest I got to walk around a bit (when it wasn't snowing).  If you ever go I recommend the Hop-On/Hop-Off bus tours.
