TESTEMONAIL:  Right and Discordianism allows room for personal interpretation. You have your theories and I have mine. Unlike Christianity, Discordia allows room for ideas and opinions, and mine is well-informed and based on ancient philosophy and theology, so, my neo-Discordian friends, open your minds to my interpretation and I will open my mind to yours. That's fair enough, right? Just claiming to be discordian should mean that your mind is open and willing to learn and share ideas. You guys are fucking bashing me and your laughing at my theologies and my friends know what's up and are laughing at you and honestly this is my last shot at putting a label on my belief structure and your making me lose all hope of ever finding a ideological group I can relate to because you don't even know what the fuck I'm talking about and everything I have said is based on the founding principals of real Discordianism. Expand your mind.

Hey, Cain-- that was pretty amazing. Thanks for taking the time on that.

Probably should have said something earlier, but yeah, that was a pretty thorough assessment of the situation (or lack thereof).

Thanks, Cain.

I have worried that, due to my hatred of the massive horde of islamophobic bigots, I might be turning a blind eye towards actual flaws in Muslim culture. (Black sheep are still sheep, Reversed Stupidity Is Not Intelligence, etc...)

Thing is, even if there is a problem, I'm not really sure how it should be dealt with. Targeting them and alienating them can only be counter-productive, except, as you say, as a political tool by the right.

Also, it's worth mentioning that, as far as I can tell, most of the Ethiopian refugees are Coptic Christian, not Muslim. So far, the locals have been very specific about targeting Muslims, not immigrants. This new group that is trying to move in on the hatefest has a broader hatred for, not just Muslims, or even immigrants, but outsiders in general who are miscegenating pure white southern culture. They do a much poorer job of hiding their racism than the local mob seems to, but they do still try to maintain that wafer this veil, nonetheless, at least in their official publications. However, if you go to their site and read their comments, you can clearly see the racist, white-power, neo-nazi bits poking through.

Some of them are already talking about committing acts of violence against us locals who would oppose them. One of them mentioned "recreating Greensboro", and another accused us of "attempting to suborn violent acts", the consequences of which we, of course, cannot fathom.

I am not wild about Islam, personally, for the same basic reason that I am not wild about Catholicism.

But that doesn't mean that I want hordes of ignorant bastards fucking with the Catholics' churches, etc.  Same thing goes for the Muslims.  As long as they aren't hurting anyone else or forcing anyone to worship in any manner other than they please, leave 'em the fuck alone.

I try to limit my hate to specific people for specific reasons. Just because many people engage in a certain behavior under a certain banner doesn't necessarily reflect others who operate under the same banner. On the other hand, there are some ideologies that are warped enough I have no hesitation in judging anyone who lives by them. I don't ask myself if someone is a good neo-Nazi or a bad neo-Nazi.
